Designer’s  Words

Grayscale is my love for Indian textiles‚colors and crafts. My designs are the outcome of my creative urges which immortalizes glamour and glitz. It is not the untaught or unteachable. But instead is a learned understanding and respect of process‚molded by experience and refined over a great deal of time and practice. After completing textile design technology and masters in design from NIFT it took me ages in industry and teaching to learn design sensitivity and color sensibility.
My affinity towards the neutrality in human behavior made me decide on the perfect neutral shade‚ the color gray‚the base to my brand.
Gray is the transition between two non colors. The closer gray gets to black‚the more dramatic and mysterious it becomes. The closer it gets to silver or white‚the more illuminating and lively it becomes. Gray creates a sense of calm and composure‚relief from a chaotic world. Rarely is gray a perfect mix of black and white. It often has elements of other colors such as blue‚ green‚ pink‚ mauve‚ or yellow within it which lift it and energizes it.
My approach towards designs has been very simple. The fabrics‚the silhouettes‚the artwork‚the craftsmanship‚ the detailing it all comes down to this‚really simple.
“design can be art. Design can be aesthetics. Design is so simple‚that is why it is so complicated”-Karl Lagerfeld
I have tried my best to keep my designs relevant and useful to everyone.
I sincerely thank all my teachers‚family and friends for making my inspirations real.
